The showrunner behind the wildly popular Fargo series is coming to Netflix, according to Variety.
The announcement comes a few days after the streaming service revealed it had signed a deal with The Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman to create a new show, which is scheduled to debut in 2017.
Kirkman’s new show will also be directed by the same man who wrote the hit FX series.
In addition to Kirkman, Netflix is also bringing in Peter Gould (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) to executive produce the new series, which has not yet been announced.
Gould’s credits include episodes of Lost and the animated series Inside Out.
The Walking Dead has been an instant cult hit, and the show’s ratings have skyrocketed in recent years, with fans flocking to Fargo each year to see the return of the iconic characters.
The show is one of the highest-rated cable dramas on the network, with an average of 1.1 million viewers per episode.
The series is currently in its sixth season, which premiered in 2015.
